Well, today I have a really novel idea! Up for sale is one of the top mountain-biking communities on the net - YourMTB.com. An announcement from the people who run it, Enthusiast Group seems to suggest that, although they have 3000 members and 75,000 visits per week, it is lagging behind the top 4 sites and isn’t really commercially viable. Probably the ad revenue they make is barely covering the work that goes into it to keep it fresh and updated - there certainly is always something new going on there.
So there’s an idea for you, how about you buy your biking loved-one an ailing mountain-biking site for Christmas! Perhaps they can turn it around and make a viable business out of it. Or perhaps not! Either way, it would be a Christmas present they would never forget! Now I wonder how much they’re asking…
