Just got another update from Wiggle - they have started reducing prices on some bike models too, as part of their “summer clearout“.

Check out this Focus Raven Pro, reduced by 500 quid from 1800 pounds to 1300. Surely not!

I mean, I can’t afford it at that price either, but I figure if you are going to buy a new bike, this would be a good time to do it. I mean who CARES it’s “this year’s” model??!! (way out of date, right, 2009 is where it’s at!)

I have long realised that I need to make periodic trips back to the UK for clothes and bike stuff etc. and that if I want summer stuff I need to visit in around September, and if I want winter stuff I need to wait for the spring clearouts. It just takes a bit better planning, and not caring a flying fig if it’s last year’s model/design/look or whatever, and you can save tons of money - very important if you live in Eastern Europe on a shoestring…
