This is a new (ir)regular feature on my blog - every few days, I plan to post some interesting links to other blogs, articles, forum threads etc. In particular they will focus on other people’s rides around different parts of the world. So if you’ve got a recent trip you want to tell the world about, write me a comment below with your email adress (the comment will not show up on the page because I moderate them) and I try to include your page.
Here goes for the first “issue” of Bikelinks:
Graham at GoClipless.com reports on the 66.666% perfect combination of biking and beer - Tour de Brew Mountain Bike Race - 2 out of 3 ain’t bad
If you have a PalmOS PDA (like me), check out Bike or Die, the ONLY trial bike racing game for Palm PDAs, or so they say! Another upgrade just out.
Mark Davidson at Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz discusses Mountain Bike Friendly Restaurants and Hotels. I guess it’s nice living somewhere that bikers are catered for to a greater or lesser extent - taking your bike anywhere in Serbia is an improvisation at best! (see Taking your bike on the bus in Serbia for example!)
…and finally, if you are looking to pick up a cheap bike (aren’t we all?), you might just find a bargain on the Bumblebee Auctions website. This is where the UK Police (yes, UK only I suspect) fence, er, I mean, sell off property that has come their way, mostly by foul means no doubt. It works a bit like eBay and you may just come across a gem - click here for a search of mountain bikes.
If you think others might want to read this post, don’t be selfish, click above to AddThis to Digg, Del.icio.us or just about any other bookmarking service and share and share alike!
