    BIKELINKS: Halfway through Bolivia

Welcome to another quick Bikelinks, my little rundown of what mountain-bikers are saying and doing out in the blogosphere.

I am a bit late with this, but Neal Radford is more than halfway through a solo ride across Bolivia (well, it’s something to do, isn’t it?!): Day 19: Oruro Heading South to the Salt Lakes… - looks like quite an adventure.

The intrepid cross-Europe cyclists we mentioned last time muse that At Least It Happened In A Big City - read about the multiple disasters they experience, not all of them bike-related, if you want a cautionary tale…

And lastly, Jill, on the Proteus Bicycles Shop blog recounts: My first mountain bike ride! Now the story is nothing remarkable, but I can so identify with her experience of riding,

“I rode on the slower side taking my time to look at everything and learn how the bike works. I’m not a particularly aggressive person and am happy plodding along.”

Now that sounds like my idea of mountain-biking (add: “and I have to stop every 100m to take photographs”)!

And if you have yet to take the plunge with MTB’ing, just note her final words, which are of course, “Honestly, I can’t wait to go again!”
