Just a quick note to let you know of the weekend’s activities: I am off to the south of Serbia with some of the Freebiking crew, to do a long weekend of cycling around the Stara planina mountain area, north of the town of Pirot if you want to find it on Google Earth.

I am really raring to go, even though the weather is not fantastic. It has been far too long since I did any “real” mountain biking! And, oh yes, this will be the first time I attempt a serious trip clipless! Eek!

Watch this space for reports from the field and expect a full report and pictures when I get back, with GPS tracks too! Mountains, here I come!
