Scott USA are another great name in bike production - and that includes mountain bikes. In 2008 they celebrate 50 years of the company, though to begin with they were a producer of ski poles and other sports gear.
Scott released their first mountain bike on the market in 1986, and began producing Unishock mountain bike suspension in 1991. They introduced their first full-suspension mountain-bike in 1992 and in 1995 their first carbon mountain-bike, the legendary Endorphin.
Some of the models you are likely to find on eBay are the Aspect, Reflex, Scale and Spark, at a wide range of prices.
